Kennedy Moretti - Piano

 

Kennedy Moretti was born in Brazil. In 1987, after completing his graduate studies in São Paulo, he moved to Europe for further studies in Budapest and Vienna. The wide scope of his musical training has always  allowed him to work intensely in a diverse range of musical activity.

 

Moretti plays both the piano and cembalo and has toured throughout several european countries, the United States and Brazil. In addition to working regularly as a soloist, his experience as a chamber musician and vocal accompanist is an extensive and varied one, spanning music from the 17th to the 21th centuries and collaborating frequently with musicians such as Hagai Shaham, Lina Tur Bonet, Wolfgang Emanuel Schmidt, Arnau Tomàs, Erica Wise, Ángel García Jermann, Aquiles Machado and María Espada, among many others.

 

His discography includes works by Mozart, Beethoven, spanish composers of the late 19th century and music of the 20th century. Of special note is his recording of the Complete Sonatas and Variations for Piano and Cello by Beethoven with Arnau Tomàs, released by Aglae in 2018.

 

Moretti is a chamber music teacher and is regularly invited to give piano masterclasses.

 

Presently he lives in Madrid.
